BLACK SPRUCE (picea mariana) / Épinette Noire
Also known as Bog Spruce, Swamp Spruce or Water Spruce
GROWS: 20 m tall on poorly drain sites and 30 m tall on uplands, columnar cone shaped
HABITAT: well-drained, moist flatlands in the north, to cool, damp sites further south
